Andrea D. McGee was born and raised in Cedar Rapids Iowa, a somewhat small town just outside of Des Moines. She moved to Jacksonville, Florida with her mother and completed high school at Terry Parker. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Film and Television at Jacksonville University in 2012. She won the Award for Excellence in Screenwriting at Jacksonville University that same year.

 

In 2014, Andrea moved to Atlanta to attend the prestigious school of Film and Television at Savannah College of Art and Design, where she was a video editor on the side to make extra money. After a year, she transferred from the Atlanta campus to Savannah in order to obtain a degree in Dramatic Writing. Andrea received her Master of Fine Arts in Liberal Arts in June 2017.

 

Andrea is a video editor for hire -- she specializes in short narratives, trailers, and PSAs. Check out some of her video editing work under the "Showreels" tab.

 

She also has a passion for screenwriting -- she loves horror and fantasy but, has written dark comedy and romance.
